Burns and related destinations

Venture into the heart of the high desert where the annual Harney County Fair brings cowboys and city slickers together for authentic rodeo action. The Malheur National Wildlife Refuge offers front-row seats to nature's greatest air show as thousands of migratory birds wheel overhead. Crystal Crane Hot Springs invites tired travelers to soak in mineral-rich waters under star-filled skies. The Harney County Historical Museum chronicles frontier life with refreshing honesty and zero romanticism. Birdwatchers arrive with expensive binoculars and leave with full journals after spotting species that make this wetland paradise their temporary home. For a true taste of local culture, time your visit with the country music jamboree, where boots scoot across dance floors with practiced precision.

Rory & Ryan Inn

Rory & Ryan Inn

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We got a late start on our trip from Boise to Bend and decided to stay the night—we’re so glad we did! The hotel is exceptionally well thought out and clearly well cared for. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the pool and hot tub were open late and very well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was exactly what we needed in the morning. This is a great place to stay—not only for a hotel in the middle of nowhere, but anywhere. The attention to detail and care put into the property, along with the excellent staff, would make it a standout even in a big city."
