We stopped for a night on the way to Zurich. The room was clean, the environment relaxing and very quiet. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, very relaxing experience
For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night.
Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At...
in hornberg...a ways from triberg....very nice small hotel...and a great resturant next door run by the same people who run the hotel...ate dinner 2 of 3 nights and the food was good both times...highly recomend
Charming guest house in the middle of the Black Forest run by a sixth generation husband and wife team. The husband, Herr Reutlinger, is also an accomplished chef and the inn is featured in various restaurant guides, including Michelin Germany. Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable.
I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.
Probably one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The building is only a few years old. The suite was clean, quiet, comfortable, and huge. Ample room for a family of 4 with luggage. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The staff was very polite, professiinal, and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked nice. The hotel is very quiet at night and the town goes to sleep at dark and you cannot hear any outside noise.
