Great experience. Very nice view of the river from the water-side rooms. Quiet, peaceful, safe, clean. the staff are terrific. 10 minute walk to Metro, 3 stops from center of city. Taxi service good and inexpensive.

1. room to room sounds.
2. the restaurant, which does not belong to the hotel, is overpriced and has menus only in Russian and English (and none in Ukrainian), and the staff of the restaurant seems reluctant to respond to customers in Ukrainian.
We stayed at this hotel because the reviews were so good and because of the location so close to the Maidan. Turns out the reviews were quite accurate. Everything was great. The room was clean and spacious. Everything in the bathroom was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful and very security conscious. Only a few steps from Maidan. Worth the money.
I spent 8 nights at the Vozdvyzhensky in late October, as a tourist. It was my first trip to Kiev. I do hope to go back, and I would not consider any other hotel. Its location is perfect for exploring the city; EVERYONE working there was extremely warm and helpful, and completely welcoming. Breakfast in the restaurant was a pleasure each morning with a buffet plus hot dishes made to order; and I ate dinner there as well. Great location, with views. Near city center, shops, and walking distance to historic cathedrals. Super clean, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom area. Purchase the breakfasts here…fabulous!

The restaurant is a hidden gem. Food was fantastic, service impeccable, and atmosphere terrific.
I had the pleasure to stay in many 5 stars hotels in Kiev, Fairmont is one of the top hotels when it comes to facilities, condition, room space and their staff.
