Directly across from Mazzaro beach (stairway down not for elderly or disabled). Beautiful views l believe from every room...l would check. Our front desk host, Sandro, took care of us in so many ways. Easy walk to tramway that takes you to Taormina. The Jonic Hotel Mazzarò is right across the road from the walkway down to a private cove beach. It’s 15 euros for the day for 2 including lounge chairs and umbrella. There is a free beach at the end of the cove where you can still dip your toes in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea should you choose not to want to pay. Most of the rooms have a terrace overlooking the sea for under $100 in May. There is a lift and air conditioning in each room. The free breakfast can be taken back to be enjoyed...
The 24/7 concierge was amazing! The staff were really helpful and answered any questions you had and were happy to book reservations to make your day trips as pleasant as possible. We loved our stay at Hotel Medousa. The staff was very welcoming and happy we were there. It’s a smaller staff and it was great to get to know each other! The room was perfect and the location was easily walkable to everything in town. We ate at the restaurant and had drinks at the garden bar multiple times. The food and service was wonderful and we would absolutely go back.
This hotel is an excellent base for exploring Taormina. It's inside the walls, near shops and restaurants (although on the opposite side of town from the Roman amphitheater). The service was excellent and friendly. The breakfasts, served on a rooftop with a commanding view, were outstanding - pretty much anything you might want, including eggs cooked to order. Caution: you can't pull your car up to the hotel, which is in a pedestrian-only area. You park in a multi-story garage, take the elevator...

We had the most lovely stay at Antico Borgo Etneo. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the train station, the property is gorgeous, our room was very clean and relatively cool considering we were in the middle of a heat wave. Great hospitality and a scrumptious breakfast (we’ll be thinking about that lemon chiffon cake for ages). We would stay again the next time in Calatabiano. Grazie a tutti!
