Beltline
The Beltline buzzes with energy along Calgary's famous "Red Mile" on 17th Avenue. Street art pops against brick walls while contemporary galleries showcase local talent. Catch a game at the Saddledome or explore the historic Lougheed House between visits to trendy rooftop bars with killer skyline views. Stampede Park sits right at your doorstep for annual festival fun. Dining ranges from hip gastropubs to global cuisine, with patios that come alive after dark. Modern high-rise condos and boutique hotels offer stylish places to stay, all within walking distance of Victoria Park C-Train station. The neighborhood's excellent walkability makes exploring its urban charm a breeze.

Kensington
Kensington's tree-lined streets buzz with indie boutiques, aromatic coffee shops, and colorful murals along its bustling strip. Grab a locally-roasted coffee and wander past vintage shops and art galleries before crossing the bridge to Prince's Island Park. Plaza Theatre shows indie films in a historic setting while street musicians add to the neighborhood's creative energy. Local pubs pour craft beers and restaurants dish up everything from Vietnamese pho to artisanal pizza. Most shops open around 10am and close by 6pm. Getting around is easy with nearby C-Train stations and bike lanes connecting to the scenic Bow River pathway system.

East Village
East Village blends industrial history with artistic flair along the Bow River's scenic shores. Studio Bell dazzles with its metallic curves and music exhibits, while the contemporary Central Library creates dramatic light patterns. Wander RiverWalk's wooden boardwalks or explore St. Patrick's Island Park with its prairie views and peaceful lagoon. The neighborhood boasts upscale-casual restaurants featuring Alberta beef and craft breweries. Modern boutique hotels and luxury condos offer stylish accommodation with river views. Getting around is simple with the Blue Line CTrain service, excellent walkability, and well-maintained bike lanes connecting you to Calgary's attractions.

Inglewood
Inglewood's historic streets mix old-world charm with modern Calgary cool. The neighborhood delights with artisan shops in century-old sandstone buildings, riverside paths along the Bow, and the cutting-edge Esker Foundation gallery. Bird lovers flock to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary while craft beer enthusiasts sample local brews at independent breweries. Festival Hall keeps the cultural scene buzzing year-round. Calgary Farmers' Market delivers delicious local flavors Thursday through Sunday, perfect for food adventurers. Most shops and restaurants cluster along walkable 9th Avenue SE, making exploration a breeze. Though accommodations are limited in Inglewood itself, downtown hotels are just a quick bus ride away.

Calgary and related destinations
Cowboy culture meets cosmopolitan cool in a city where the annual Stampede transforms bankers into temporary ranch hands. The Calgary Tower offers views across a skyline that rises abruptly from prairie flatlands. Studio Bell celebrates Canadian music in a building that resembles a giant instrument itself. Wander the East Village's revitalized streets before exploring the Calgary Zoo's conservation work. Prince's Island Park provides an urban oasis where locals picnic beneath cottonwoods. The Glenbow Museum showcases Western Canadian history alongside contemporary art. For the best local experience, order a Caesar cocktail – this spicy tomato concoction was invented here and locals debate which bar makes the definitive version.

Carriage House Hotel & Conference Centre
"Such a nice locally owned hotel! Service was amazing. I would definitely go back there"
Best Western Plus Port O'Call Hotel
"Pool was pretty amazing with the two hot tubs and two water slides! We definitely enjoyed our time here. Due to the hotel being at full capacity, we had to book our swim time in the evening, which we didn’t mind. The pool was a bit busy due to that but fun was had by all. Being able to park underground for free was a nice feature. My only complaint would be that we had to ask for towels the one day as when our room was cleaned they did not replenish any of the towels. (Due to high capacity) However, when we asked for towels that evening, they did bring us some promptly."

"No hand soap by the BR sink"
Prairie Crest Calgary Airport
"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room could have been a little cleaner. The headboard was dirty, the toilet and tub were dirty, there were food crumbs on the floor. Outside there was garbage placed on an outdoor table and about a hundred cigarette butts. Possibly some renos taking place as I seen an area in the hallway with a large number of cardboard boxes and paint and plaster materials. Great location for fast food, beer and wine store, couple spas in the area and a short walk to a strip mall area. There are 4 hotels in the area and neither had an ATM."
