What a wonderful stay away from all the tour buses in Flåm. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The meals were excellent! Dinner was delicious and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful and made to order. The staff was so personable and inviting. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return!!!
The location of this hotel is INCREDIBLE with views of the fjord and waterfalls! Our room was lovely, spacious and clean with a kitchen and couch. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the waffles. It was so nice to stay overnight in Gudvangen when there weren’t crowds there - the evening was peaceful on the fjord and in the morning we were able to do Viking Village when it first opened (axe throwing & archery with no line!!!) before all the tour buses and boat got...
Awesome place to stay. Breakfast was wonderful with omelets and homemade waffles with jelly. They made a fresh coffee cake. They had anything you would could want. They were so helpful with things to see in the area. Room excellent and clean. Highly recommend this hotel. Right near the ferry. Thanks for a wonderful birthday song.
Well worth the price, spectacular surroundings offering fjord views and a sense of being a member of the traditional hotels. You can kayak, take a sauna, a dip if you are hardy enough. The breakfast was lovely, as was the dinner. And King Harald Fairhair was born in the neighborhood!
This place is great, with amazing views!! I recommend eating breakfast as well as having dinner there. You signed up for whatever the owner is cooking for dinner the day before, so it's kind of a surprise dinner with an appetizer, main course and dessert. The food was local and absolutely delicious!! We left with wonderful memories of our time there.
Very helpfull staff, and we followed the suggestion/recomendation to upgrade our room, and got a wonderful room with a seaview for just a little bit more money😀

If you want to charge for parking you need to add whole lot of more instructions!!!
1) to charge your guests for parking, in a location like Songdal, is rude!
2) 2 car charging stations for such a large hotel is short minded and poor service.
This is not the hotel I will use again or recommend.
Very scenic property with chateau style building and fantastic views of the lake. Breakfast buffet was great They allowed us to check our bags before and after our stay. Ice water was always available in the lobby. The hotel is right next to the train station & gondola. Front desk was helpful with directions to the gorge & waterfall.
