Everything was perfect. Property is beautiful and staffs are kind. I enjoyed fitness and sauna too. The only drawback is checkout time at 11am is a bit too early. Hope it is 12pm.
I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. Walking distance to the Jordaan district which is my favorite area. The hotel provides first rate breakfasts that spare no expense. ...
All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. Room was quiet for outside noise, but some mechanical noises but not awful. Room service was good and Janz was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Area around hotel was great boutique shopping. Would...
This was my 1st time ever in Amsterdam (1st time in Europe). I found this hotel to be in a great location for using public transport to get around the city. It was the first stop from the airport; short walk to hotel from station. Breakfast was GREAT, well worth including in your package.
Location was great - 15 minute tram ride to the Van Gogh / Rijksmuseum, 20 minute metro ride to Centraal Station, near a busy commercial street with options for restaurants, cafes, and parks. The service was excellent and I felt right at home.
If you're debating between staying in the Canal Ring vs. a little more on the outskirts, I recommend staying at citizen M - you get a better feel for daily Dutch life and the area is safer and not as touristy.
We stayed here for 10 nights. All the staff members were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast buffet was great...nice variety of foods to choose from. The omelette station was a big hit with my daughter - thank you to the chefs and the rest of the breakfast staff! The closeness of the hotel to the Amsterdam’s RAI station was very convenient. A 5 minute walk to the Tram, Metro or Train. Thank you to Manager Peter vam Steen for the personalized note and chocolate for the kids. We look forward...
Excellent Wellness facilities. A great variety of sauna & bath experiences that go well with the Hotel stay. I enjoyed the peaceful and restful experience of the Wellness and it was well worth adding to my stay.
The staff was outstanding.
The room was clean, comfortable, and interesting.
The amenities (e.g., lobby, food, etc.) were fantastic.
The price was great!
Top notch in all areas of a stay in Amsterdam. Had a corner room with glass on both walls. Just a great feel and elegance to stay. Would have given 6 stars if an option. Can walk to Musueum district. Loads of bike paths. Breakfast buffet quality is a whole new level. Like being between airport and city center.
My bf and I had an AMAZING stay here! We booked a penthouse suite and it did not disappoint. Great panoramic views of the city, walkable to the Overamstel station, great amenities and great room. Only downside is it is about a 20min train ride to the central area of town so we’ll likely stay closer next time but for a luxury stay, we would highly recommend.
A wonderful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam. Close to the airport. Call an uber it's a lot less than a taxi. Hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. Clean hotel beautiful room. So nice to have a kitchen to save money on meals. Tip: good free breakfast but get to it early it can get very busy. So nice it's connected to a mall with wonderful dining options and several grocery stores. Good mix of travelers really no issues. Only four blocks from the tram to...
Modern, clean, comfortable, close to the metro station, two stops from the airport (15 min) on a train. The hotel is 5 min walk to Amsterdam RAI metro/train station.
Every time I visit Amsterdam, I always like staying at this property for it location and the staff's attention to detail. They are always helpful and go iver and beyond to make tou feel qelcomed. Amsterdam Zuid is one stop from Schipol Airport and that is very convenient. The number 5 tram will take you straight to Leidseplein, which is home to many great pubs with outdoor seating and a cozy atmosphere. Hands down, this property has an A in my book!
Excellent hotel. Easy access to metro to reach city center. Helpful staff and clean rooms. I have nothing but good things to say. Thank you mercure hotel for a great vacation!!!!!
This hotel is fantastic!!!! The rooms were the size of American hotel rooms with a lot of space. Even though it is outside Amsterdam, there are busses and trams, just across from the hotel, that take will you anywhere with ease. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The cost was also good and I booked online at hotels.com. Great place with great staff. I would recommend this to anyone going to Amsterdam!
