Hotels in Mdina Old City

Xara Palace is the perfect place to stay if you are planning on staying in Mdina for a couple of nights. Everything about this palace is amazing. We felt welcome from the minute we walked in the door till the minute we left.

This is a beautiful hotel over all. The property is fantastic. The service is terrific. The breakfast was amazing. The beds however are horrific. It’s like laying on a blanket covered slab of concrete. Hotels are in the business of sleep and should make comfort a number one priority. It’s like dipping a white table cloth in mud. The beds need to be replaced with something of real quality, like Hästens Beds, to match the beauty of the Hotel.

We didn't partake of either service owing to jet lag and keeping busy in the city.

Everyone at the front desk was friendly, capable, and extremely professional. The breakfast was good and the service in the restaurant was also very good. Our room was very nice and sitting in our Jacuzzi late at night and/or in the morning was REALLY nice. On our last day, we did hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, but the maid decided to open the door anyway while we were inside. This could have been an awkward situation, but luckily everyone in the room had clothes on. Honestly...

First i have start by how incredible the staff was. They were curtious, friendly and always eager to assist. The location was centrally located in Valletta with easy access everywhere. The roof top happy hour were nice. Though i recommend they keep it open to at least sunset so you can experience it from the rooftop. Highly recommend this location.

We had a lovely stay and would recommend this property. The only issue we had was that our pre-arranged hotel transfer was not actually arranged. The hotel did not confirm that booking, so we ended up using the taxi stand, which was fine. You are a bit outside of the main areas in Malta, but it was a lovely hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We enjoyed the restaurants around the hotel too. Great views at breakfast! Nice, quiet rooms with comfortable beds! We loved the partial sea view.

We stayed one week in a room for 2. the room was clean when we artiges, every 3er day we received new towels, also we didn‘t Place them on the ground to Switch. Within 5 Minuten walking way we were at the Balluta Bay with a lot of Restaurants, Cafés and so so. Also a Bus Station was near the Hotel. Hotel was really quiet to sleep. 9-night stay in February. It's a well-run hotel with good service in a happening area. About 50 restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Very comfortable bed in a soundproofed room which kept out the late-night feral cat noise overture serenading the neighborhood. A bonus was an alcove for a window affording a half-view of Spinola Bay for no extra charge. It was honestly the best thing about my visit in Malta. Should i return to Malta would definitely pick this hotel as its close to everything has good breakafast options, excellent cleaning and super smart overall.

This is a great location not far from the ferry and a nice ocean view of the other parts of Malta. The room was a nice size and had lot's of closet space which I used since my stay was about a week. The staff was especially friendly and left me chocolate for new years. They were also helpful in suggesting places to visit and best modes of transportation. There are cute shops and a few bars in the area. I met some of the locals who were friendly and I would definitely stay at that hotel again.
