"I arrived around 11 AM and was told the room wasn’t available. Because I was extremely tired after + 12 hours of flying, I insisted and was offered the room for an additional ~$75. It was the same room, not an upgrade, which made it feel like the room was already ready and that it was more about not allowing early access.
I understand early check-in policies and that it’s up to the hotel. However, considering it wasn’t that early, it wasn’t high season, and I’m a repeat guest, I feel the situation could have been handled differently."
