Great hotel...great location....friendly and helpful staff for the most part. There was one guy who clearly had an issue with Americans....gave him a 20% Euro tip (which is way more then Europeans leave) and he was still a %^$*&.
Great area to bike, hike and relax at the Thermal Pool within walking distance of the hotel and sits in the valley of the Austrian Alps. Soooo beautiful.
If you do not mind dark old furniture, this hotel is a Good morning choice. Location was great, very walkable. Staff was super nice and buffet breakfast (not included) was satisfactory.
I love this hotel! It is so cute and classically Bavarian. We stayed on the top floor overlooking the front of the hotel. I felt very safe here. We came to Europe for a 2 week trip and stayed in 5 different beds - this one was by far the comfiest. Plus it was a super close walk to a bakery and fantastic Biergarten. We came by rental car and they had free parking available.
There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room and it was also perfect weather when we came so we slept...
Wonderful little place with a very nice breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was delightfully appointed and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!
We were so happy that we chose this hotel. The rooms are very nice, our view was spectacular. Breakfast was substantial and fueled us until mid afternoon. Beautiful outdoor dining but make a reservation. Ettal is a charming town and close to many attractions.
