Learn more about Stirling
Perched atop an ancient volcanic crag, the castle commands views across battlefields where Scotland's fate was decided centuries ago. The medieval Old Town unfolds below with its cobbled streets leading to the Church of the Holy Rude, where baby James VI was crowned king. History buffs shouldn't miss the National Wallace Monument, standing tall as a tribute to the Scottish hero. The Old Stirling Bridge marks where armies clashed in legendary battles, while Argyll's Lodging offers a glimpse into aristocratic life of yesteryear. After exploring the Old Town Jail, duck into one of the local pubs where university students and tourists swap stories beneath ancient beams. The Tolbooth showcases local culture in a building that's witnessed centuries of Scottish drama.

Stirling Court Hotel
"Basic but quite nice."

"Breakfast should be free ; also need a fridge in my room for my meds."
The Social Hub Glasgow
"Great location, good value for money, nice vibe whether you want quiet or a bit of a buzz. Staff friendly."
Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow
"All staff were delightfully friendly and helpful. Angus was a lovely caring patient member of the team answering all my questions over the phone and was just as lovely in person. Executive lounge was a lovely peaceful space . The room was lovely and spacious and beautiful clean linen. The carpet on arrival could have been cleaner, I love the gorgeous green bathroom tiles although the bath panel needs changed as the water had started to seep into the materials and distorting the finish . Two shower heads over the bath were a lovely touch for choice . Disappointingly the bath was not as clean as it should have been with water level marks and what looked like a large dusty shower gel blob . Toiletries were very nice and the little complimentries were a lovely touch . Both the bed and pillows were too hard for our preference and did interfere with both of our sleeps, all down to personal choice. Good range of drinks in room, for an executive would have expected more than 2 little shortbread rounds although delicious . The safe was locked so every time you opened therefore it swung open . There were no drawers in the room at all which I found odd . The breakfast in the morning was superb , a lovely fresh vegetable omelette made by Thabo was delicious . All in all I would say our stay was lovely and we had a great time . Would go back anytime . Thank you to all the staff involved making it all so welcoming ."
Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport by IHG
"Proximity to Glasgow Airport is a short walk across the street. Beds were comfy. We had a delicious burger & sweet potato fries in their restaurant and it was perfect. We asked for a fan for our room and one was brought up promptly. Good sleep and didn’t hear planes."
DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central
"Great location just a block off the pedestrian only city centre walking areas. Really good for parking too - underground lot entered into from behind the hotel just be ready for those wicked switchbacks going from floor to floor. Rooms good, bar area very nice, strong breakfast with haggis and potato scones available and good."
YOTEL Glasgow
"Our stay was very good, excellent location, staff helpfull, room very clean, the only comment I can say is the cafe, drinks were awfully expensive."
Moxy Glasgow SEC
"Great hotel, comfortable room. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Didn't have any food this time as there are plenty of places to eat just up the road a short walk away."
The Stirling Highland Hotel
"Hope to come back again. This is an old building but well-maintained. It was disappointing to have to pay for parking but all else was great,"
