We absolutely loved the Bedford. It was so clean and comfortable with top notch amenities. The breakfast at the Cafe downstairs was by far the best we’ve had while in Ireland. The staff is tremendous and went out of their way to check us in early so we could rest after being up for over 24 hours what with the time difference and all. A big shout out to Eva who went above and beyond to make our stay one we will not forget. Stay at The Bedford you will be so glad that you did!
The staff went above and beyond in berthing they did. So friendly and inviting, they even set me up with a Jr suite at the last minute for one extra day! Top notch service. You do not get this kind of service in the states
family resort lots of children…. animals in the petting area are not attended to, at a pet level. It made me sad! the property grounds are very pretty. location is a destination but we are out of towners and know nothing about the area. food was ok, again very geared to family stays! We were on our 34th anniversary trip, had slightly different agenda, quite, adult time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Absolute Hotel. We were warmly welcomed and staff provided all the information we needed about Limerick. The room was luxurious and provided us with needed rest and relaxation after a couple of busy days touring. We walked to King John’s Castle and to dinner. Next time we plan to try the restaurant in the hotel. Thanks for your hospitality!
We stayed in this hotel as a family trip to Limerick, we intended to go see King John's Castle and a check out the area. This hotel was in a decent location with an Aldi's and Tescos right in the area. We walked to the castle and into town, with three little kids it took us about 30 mins each way. There is a bus stop just across the parking lot from the hotel entrance which can take you into town as well. There wasn't much happening around the hotel itself as far as lots of shopping and sites,...

No. 1 Pery Square was my favourite hotel during my stay in Ireland. The place is very classy and chic, without feeling snobish at all. It is located near a nice park in central Limerick, and there is a small parking structure nearby where you can leave your vehicle.

We arrived at around 2 pm and brunch was being served. We did not have reservations. The staff accommodated us and we waited in the bar with a delicious cocktail while our table was being prepared. The food was the best we had in Ireland so far and we ate a lot of wonderful food in Cong and Kilkenny. What a delicious treat. Hubby had 3 course I had 2 course. Now, THIS is a hotel. Unlike my last stay (at the Moxie in downtown NYC) the Strand does not skimp on the amenities. The room was spacious and fully equipped, the bed comfortable, the service excellent. The location across the river is both extremely close to the heart of Limerick while not being stuck in the middle of it.
I would not recommend eating at The River (the in-hotel restaurant) though. My meals were mediocre at best. But that's my only quibble.
