"We had a great experience staying at this hotel. The location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The property was clean, well-maintained, and overall very nice. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. One of the biggest pluses was the flexibility with our arrival. We arrived about 2–3 hours before the scheduled check-in time, and although our room wasn’t immediately ready, they were able to have a room available for us within about an hour. After traveling, this was greatly appreciated. One issue we did experience was with the safe in our room. We used it to store some of our belongings, but when we tried to retrieve our items, we were unable to unlock it. We had an early checkout because we needed to leave for another location, and it took approximately 20–25 minutes for a staff member to come up and open the safe for us. This was stressful and delayed us, especially since we were on a tight schedule. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. Aside from the issue with the safe, it was a pleasant experience."

"This hotel is very quaint with old world charm. The staff was very accommodating by arranging transport to and from the airport and port. The location of the hotel is great. The surrounding area is very walkable. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and satisfying. The view from our room was amazing. I will definitely stay at this hotel again."

"We stayed in their Premium Duplex room and whilst it was pleasant and clean, it is somewhat of a challenge to get a suite case up the spiral staircase. The staff were very friendly and helpful and buffet breakfast was very nice with a very good selection of pastries along with the savouries. Location is also very good with excellent transport nearby and within easy walk to the shops and restaurants."

"Our stay at Mama Shelter was just right for us. The room was clean, comfortable, and had great air conditioning, which was especially appreciated when it was 100 degrees outside and we came back tired and hot after our tours. This was our first time in Rome, and we truly enjoyed the city to the fullest. A big plus was the hotel’s location—it’s only about a 15-minute walk from the Vatican, and the train station is just a 4-minute walk away. It is a little far from the city center, but getting there by train was very easy and convenient. The staff was nice, but we did feel that the service could have been more welcoming. We noticed that when we walked in and out of the hotel, they usually didn’t acknowledge us or even say hello unless we greeted them first. Whenever we asked for something, they answered our questions, but we didn’t feel that extra level of care or hospitality. We absolutely loved the rooftop! However, during our first two nights, we were told that we needed a reservation, even though there were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant. We were eventually allowed to sit, but we were a little disappointed and confused by the situation. We also had breakfast included with our stay. Every time we went to breakfast, we felt like we were being questioned at the entrance about whether breakfast was included in our reservation. We completely understand checking, but the way it was handled sometimes felt a little rude or uncomfortable. If we are coming down for brea"
