I loved this little gem of a hotel. The staff is lovely and the hotel is affordable and really clean. The walls are also super thick so you don’t hear the baseball games that might happen across the street. I also loved the location. The street is quiet but metro close and so many places walkable. I’ll certainly stay here again,
I always stay at Sotetsu Fresa Takadanobaba whenever I'm in Tokyo, and for good reason. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Takadanobaba Station, which connects to the JR Yamanote, Seibu Shinjuku, and Tozai Lines. This makes it easy to get around Tokyo, whether you're headed to Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, or other popular spots.
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with rooms that are surprisingly spacious for the price. I appreciate that you can adjust the AC to your...
Everything was maintained very well! Good amenities, good staff, clean, very close to the train station and 2 convenient stores about 3 mins away. Just like any Japanese hotel it’s a bit small in space but it wasn’t a hassle at all. Another thing to note is if you’re calling the hotel there might be moments where there might be someone who speaks English (happened to us twice to call about sending over our luggage) and at the moment no one could help us. When we got there, there was at least 1...
i love this hotel! Great breakfast included in the price. The room was overall clean except under the bed which was dusty. However I would still like five stars because of friendly staff and overall comfort.
Great location. Room larger than we thought it would be. Bed comfy with very nice pillows. Water pressure in bathroom was stellar as were toiletries. Staff was just wonderful! Language was a barrier, but we don't expect everyone in the world to speak English. We're in Japan...we should speak/understand some Japanese. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends already. Metro is about 2 minute walk from front door. I can't even begin to count how many restaurants and...
We stayed at the four beds room for a few days in May 2023. Very pleasant stay. The room is quite larger comparing with other hotels we stayed. The night was quiet, can have a very good sleep. The breakfast is the best. We enjoyed it everyday. Definitely we stay here again if we visit Tokyo in the future.
Love this place and we will stay here again in the future. Room was amazing for three people with 3 single beds, fresh linen-and robe daily. Free breakfast with delicious pastries included. And oh, I missed the caffucino latte served as much as you want from Am till 10:00 pm. Our experience was great!
I was a bit skeptical, as I saw multiple APA hotels in my search, but that is because of how good it is. It is a very eco friendly hotel with a moto of "Simplified Luxury" which is exactly what it was. It was very walkable to all the major spots of Shinjuku we were looking for- the station, the tourist spots, etc. Also, all the amenities the hotel had to offer. The room itself, while small by design, met all our expectations. Extra toilietry items, robes, pajamas, indoor slippers, water...
This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies. The staff was very kind and helpful when shipping luggage to our next hotel in Kyoto. Lastly, you can take the Airport Limousine Shuttle Bus from Haneda and get...
Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo.
The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. Plus, being within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and yes, even the indispensable 7-11s, added immense value to our stay.
The...
Excellent hotel to be reasonably close to Ikebukuro station, about 10 min walk and can be done mainly underground.
Rooms are a bit small but comfortable with many amenities that you would find in the US at major hotels.
The hotel room was huuuuge compared to other hotels- we even had a little balcony! The washing machine in the unit helped SO much. It was a bit difficult to get from the station to the hotel with large bags because there isn’t an exit with an escalator/elevator that we could find but it’s completely doable. The staff let us wait in a private lounge with water and vending machines until it was time for check in which was amazing!
Clean room, nice and helpful staff, enjoyed the peaceful are where the metro was very close by and it was a nice 15 min walk into the heart of shinjuku.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The layout of the YAGURA room was really cool. I've never seen a hotel room like this before, and it utilized the space really well. With two mattresses in the upstairs loft area and a large day bed in the main area, this was perfect for our group of three. The front desk staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, answering all of our questions and assisting in shipping our luggage to our next destination in Kyoto. Breakfast was delicious, with several...
