My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at the large cabin. It was nicer than what we expected. Since we went in mid January, we enjoyed the fireplace at night with a glass of wine. I liked the location, it’s private, safe and close to the main road. It’s in a rustic area, but very close to the town of Quiroga. I would definitely recommend it.
This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel, I absolutely love this hotel. It’s situated in a perfect location (within walking distance to the plazas, shops, restaurants and Santuario) the hotel is beautiful and rooms are pretty quiet as the hotel is situated in a bz street. The beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. I definitely recommend this hotel!
Exceptionally clean. Receptionist Adriana generously provided bus and combi info, and suggestions of places to visit. Owner Alma made me rice and eggs when I was very sick. Excellent location near the Plz. Principal, the mercado, and public transit. There’s even a small tianguis twice a week at the Plz. San Francisco, in front of the Posada. Hotel guests may use the kitchen. The avian mascot, Coti, always amused.

El único detalle que esta habitación es de 2 camas regulares y no una king side o si viajas con más personas las camas están en la misma habitación. Pero fuera de esos detalles que realmente no son un problema… la habitación y el servicio fue excelente.
My only complaints were that there was no night stand on the side of the bed I slept on. Very inconvenient..for water glasses, book etc. Also, not enough hooks in the bathroom . Other than that it is an absolutely stunning property with outstanding views.
Casa Jose Maria Hotel is a small and very comfortable accommodation. It was reasonably priced. The rooms were comfortable, clean, heated and AC. It is located within a comfortable walk of the Centro Historico. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were put in touch with a wonderful guide who took us to Patzcuaro and the Monarch Butterfly Reserve. While in Patzcuaro, one of our party fell and suffered severe cuts to both of her lower legs.
