Over the last three weeks, we have stayed in different motels each night throughout New York State and Canada. This was the worst by far
The lady on check in was pleasant. That was where the positives ended.
The drive in porch looks structurally unsafe.
Our room (203) had an instant smell of urine upon entering which was exacerbated when using the air con. Air con unit itself was so noisy it sounded like a helicopter in the room.
The room was dated, no comforter, just rough woolen blanket & sheet. Walls needed a good lick of paint and the TV guide provided was useless.
The bathroom was awful with a crack in the sink, brown shower curtain, half a bottle of used conditioner and brown marks on the toilet roll.
The bathroom door was unsafe and hanging off the hinges so it wouldn't close which mean no privacy for our family. The toilet seat was unsafe only held on by one hinge.
The room housing the ice machine was a health hazard. The floor was disgusting and it felt like a dumping ground with empty trash lying around.
Breakfast in the morning was dreadful. Waffle batter was too thin, tar like coffee and at 8am everything seemed to be running out. There was an older gentleman repeatedly wiping down all the surfaces with the dirtiest cloth I have ever seen.
Overall, I think this motel needs some serious maintenence, a good clean and a visit from environmental health.
