Great Fosters is a beautiful hotel, with stunning grounds and an idyllic heated outdoor pool. Our more modern room - a super spacious king suite - was comfortable and air conditioned. Breakfast was of a good standard, a bit limited compared to my expectations but good quality. Our only complaint was that drinks service in the bar was painfully slow.
This is a lovely hotel really nice location surroundings are beautiful. Rooms are comfy it's modern even though the building and surroundings are historic. Largely it's great
Be mindful of rooms. Mine although comfortable with the window open I could hear car doors slamming at 6am and noisy talking in other rooms
I found it strange to be offered late checkout only to be found that it came at a cost. That cost of £50 didn't give me the luxury to carry on using the pool till the end of the day and only to the end of the late checkout which seems a bit unnecessary
The pool service was very slow and I found it very strange to be served by men in shoes and suits. All unnecessarily stuffy.
The hotel is charming and the grounds are beautiful. However, all rooms in the main house have no AC, which is very uncomfortable during the summer months.
They are severely understaffed (especially when they have an event/wedding), with most employees being part-timers or new to the property. The staff was very friendly and polite, just overwhelmed.
The rooms(& bathrooms) could do with a little refurb.
Overall, great potential, but they could elevate the experience & property a lot more.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The manicured gardens are stunning. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub have a beautiful setting. My only problem is the lack of training the staff seem to have had. Service is 3 star at best. Breakfast is lacking choice and quality. Despite that we will still stay there the next time we go to Ascot as it's just so beautiful
Beautiful property, our last stop before returning home! Close to Heathrow Airport and a lovely end to our trip! Highly recommend a stay at the amazing place. Service was top notch, food was perfect! Would make this a stop every time in London!
We had a nice time - we were relaxed as we are fortunate enough to get away quite a lot so we saw the funny side to the literal comedy of errors. Very pretty hotel, a little srcuffier than we were expecting. Staff were friendly but many were very inexperienced I would guess accounting for pretty much every order we made to come back wrong. The highlight was refusing to serve my partner anything but steak as he had mentioned a mild garlic intollerance. Even though he assured the team he eats it a lot just a prefernce would be to avoid it. The chef refused on a basis of 'protecting his reputation'. My partner made do with bread as a starter, then his steak arrived complete with garlic butter instead of the red wine jus ordered!!
