Take of two halves. Staff in the restaurants and bar great, food was also great. The but, I booked an ocean view suite and to say it needed renovating is an under statement. It was large with outdoor decking but the furniture was filthy and stained, little pools of water in the room. It’s not a good sign when you have to put a towel on every piece of furniture to feel like it was clean!

We’ve stayed at dozens of luxury hotels all over the world, and the Lux Grand Gaube is up there towards the very top of the list. The hotel design is jawdroppingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant is 1st class- excellent variety and quality of dining options. Plenty of tasty veggie food. The live cooking stations are at the top of their game. The beach is spotless, plenty of spaces to relax, clear water, plenty of water activities are included.

This property epitomises luxury. It’s all in the detail. Flavoured water on the beach, ice buckets filled with drink whilst sunbathing, gourmet food and ice cream. The staff give you that boutique feel and the honey made on site is a lovely touch.
