We love this hotel. We first stayed here in 2015 and returned recently for 5 nights. We had a lake view room with a spectacular view of the Osorno volcano. The room was very comfortable and the downstairs restaurant served excellent food. Our favorite was the pil pil shrimp. We will return.

Hotel Cumbres

This was an unexpectedly amazing hotel. The architecture is older, as is the surroundings of Puerto Vargas, but the hotel was updated and extremely comfortable. Cozy beds, lovely room with a lake front view, really nice lounge area, welcoming spa where amenities were available such as sauna, and good gym. Best of all was the free breakfast - so many choices for all diets. They would also make specialized omelets upon request at no charge. Definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s a lakefront and central hotel, near good restaurants. Breakfast wasn’t extraordinary, very basic. Staff were helpful. The room was large, clean and a good size bathroom, but it lacked magnifying mirror, and the dispensers make it cheap.

This property has been described as five stars but it’s three at best. The views from the hotel are amazing but the property is extremely dated and that Lowe’s the place to three stars. The furniture must be 20 years old in the room and technology has passed this place do plugs are not convenient. The breakfast is lackluster. The coffeee machines kept breaking down so there were always lines. The lounge with the fireplace is awesome but they don’t have enough waiters most evenings. The front desk was not helpful at all. When we asked to get local information about activities they told us to scan a QR code. Water pressure was very low under the premise of being eco friendly. The place is ok but don’t expect anything more than an average stay in a stunning location.
