Location was great; adjacent to Glorietta Mall. Hotel room was renovated so it was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi works great. Chose Club Level access, but nothing special: food, beverage selection mediocre and service average. I normally stay at New World, where the Club Lounge is way better: food and beverage selection and service! Room Service at Holiday Inn was pretty good, however was disappointed when told “bulalo” (beef shank soup) was unavailable for second half of my stay (had it first 3 days and it was exceptional)! Had breakfast once at Club Lounge but opted for main restaurant on lobby level: way better choices. Service was okay, could be better if wait staff more attentive and visible. They need to move around and check on guests often! There’s so many of them and they just stand around. But that is indicative of poor training and possibly management! I actually mentioned this when asked to complete survey.
Was also dumbfounded when ube cheesecake was unavailable, though touted as their “signature” dessert!
If so, make sure it’s ALWAYS available! Funny thing is that night, a smaller version of it was available at Club Lounge (wth)?
Housekeepers do good job and work really hard!
In general, had a nice one-week stay, but more than likely, will return to New World, although rooms there are in need of an upgrade / remodeling! Perhaps with new ownership, that will happen. Holiday Inn Makati is not a bad choice, but there’s definitely things they need to work on!
