Originally, this was a people’s park, and it is located in the northernmost part of the large Marselisborg Forest (Marselisborgskoven), about half an hour walk from Aarhus Central Station (Aarhus Hovedbanegård). Here, you can go on roller coasters, Ferris wheels and other fun rides, and you can admire the park’s gorgeous flowers. You can also find a number of cafés, restaurants and food stalls, so you might even choose to dine at the park to spend more time in the green surroundings.
Tivoli Friheden is also open for Halloween and Christmas, where the park is decorated with pumpkins and a horror motif or sparkling Christmas lights, trees and baubles.
