Lindos Beach is a stretch of sand running along the coast of a small bay. The dramatic natural landscape stretches from the Acropolis of Lindos, watched over by a row of whitewashed buildings on the hillside. This provides a beautiful and unique backdrop to the inlet.
The beach has a wide stretch of golden sand and clear waters. During the summer months, it is often crowded with beachgoers on reclined lounges under colourful parasols. It’s a good idea to arrive in the early morning to make sure you get a good spot. Lindos Beach is within a short walk from the town centre. There are also beachside restaurants if you inevitably stay longer than planned.

The Church of Panagia is a Greek Orthodox place of worship right in the middle of Lindos town. It was originally built in 1300 but has been renovated several times over the centuries, most recently during the Italian occupation in 1927.
The church still retains much of its original beauty. Its most striking feature is the high-rise, stone bell tower, a typical feature of Rhodian churches. Its interior is even more impressive, with vibrant 19th-century wall frescoes depicting important saints and biblical scenes. The Church of Panagia also has a small museum attached to it – you only need to pay a couple of euros to explore its exhibitions.

The Tomb of Kleoboulous is a circular structure situated at the very edge of the bay to the north of Lindos town. Despite its name, there’s no evidence that it’s the actual resting place of the 6th-century BC Greek poet. Rather, it’s believed to be the tomb of a local wealthy family.
The stone memorial still attracts visitors for its excellent vistas across the ocean. The 3-km-long walk to the site is also a great way to stretch your legs. Along the trail, you’ll pass the Monument of Ioanni Zigdi and old stone windmills. The return hike takes around 2 hours.

This viewpoint of Lindos town is not necessarily an official attraction, but rather a roadside vantage point just outside of town. This flattened area, just off the main road running along the coast, is widely considered the best panoramic view of the entire area.
The imposing Acropolis of Lindos and white painted buildings against the clear Mediterranean Sea is an incredible sight. Most people stop here to snap a photo before continuing into Lindos town so have your sunglasses and best summer gear ready for when you pass by.

St Paul’s Bay is a small cove on the other side of Lindos town and the Acropolis of Lindos. It’s an incredibly idyllic inlet, with calm waters that are safe for swimming and a golden stretch of sand with umbrellas and sun loungers.
It appears almost like a natural swimming pool, completely protected by rugged coastal cliffs and the remains of the acropolis can be seen atop the highest point. The beach is smaller than the one in Lindos town, so it can get rather crowded in summer. It’s best to visit is late in the afternoon and after the day-trip visitors have left the bay.

St Paul’s Chapel is on the eastern side of St Paul’s Bay, on the other side of the Acropolis of Lindos. It was built to commemorate the bay as the spot where Saint Paul first arrived in Rhodes for his missionary work in AD 51.
It’s a small, simple white chapel just above the water’s edge, but its picturesque location makes it a very popular location for weddings. It’s not unusual to see a beautiful ceremony taking place at the chapel, especially in summer.
