Zakynthos is most famous for the iconic Shipwreck Beach – or Navagio Beach, as it’s properly known – where the rusting wreck of a cargo ship hogs the beautiful golden sands. This striking cove isn’t the Greek island’s only attraction, though – be sure to check out blue caves and the rock arches along the west coast.
If you’re looking for a party, you’ll certainly find it in Zakynthos’ main city – Zante. However, if you want to dodge the crowds, you can do that, too. Head to the remote southwest of the island and places like Keri and Limni Keriou. Alternatively, head a little way inland and explore the historical ruins in Bochali.
