It has it's goods and bads. It is located close to Bush Gardens and Historic Williamsburg. I felt safe staying there as a female with a child. There was almost no noise, however, one guess had a loud truck that would leave at daylight, and trash pick up behind the building was on a Tuesday, but I did not hear the other guests through the walls. Most of the rooms have curtains, however room 339 and maybe two other rooms do not and only have blinds. The blinds let in a lot of light, night and day. I did not feel like it gave enough privacy. Thankfully I travel with travel room darkening curtains and was able to use them. The beds were a little too firm for me. The comforter is weighted and inside a cover that felt like curtain material and in my mind didn't feel clean, so I used the blankets I brought. The sheets were clean though. You could tell at some point someone smoked in the room, but you didn't notice the smell after a few minutes of being in the room, and there were burn marks in the bathroom as well. There was a little bit of mold in the molding around the tub, but not major. The refrigerator worked great and I could freeze ice packs if I put them against the back wall of the refrigerator. Breakfast was cereal and bread, so that was disappointing, but there is a pancake restaurant right next to the hotel. We did not try the pool, but it looked clean. We would definitely stay again, but we would request to not stay in a room with blinds (339).
