Even though it looked like they had renovated the place, the room itself was not in good renovated condition. The bathroom was old, the ceiling paint was peeling, and there appeared to be moisture damage. There were even a few hairs stuck to the ceiling. The toilet also needs to be replaced.
The lobby, on the other hand, was really nice, spacious and well renovated. However, I didn’t fully enjoy the breakfast area. It was smaller than in other hotels from the same chain. We had just come from the one in Halifax, and this one felt much tinier, with less food and poorer service. Items kept running out, and it took a long time for staff to restock. By the time they did, so many people were waiting that everything was gone again within minutes.
