We were greeted with friendly service from the doorman to the front desk staff. They even helped us get our left overs heated up for dinner. Our room was on the 13th floor and we paid about US 75. We had a great view of the Yangtse river which was really fun. The room was very clean and spacious. I was really impressed that they used biodegradable containers for the toiletries. The internet was so so, but I suspect good for the area. Huge bed. We prefer a firmer mattress with more support, but the bedding was nice. Refrigerator in room was useful for us. The walls were a little thin; we heard the neighbors TV in the morning somewhat. The only downside to being so close to the river is the occasional boat horns are a little loud in the early morning. We took taxis to see local places, like the Guiyuan Temple, which is about a 10 minute ride away. All staff were efficient and friendly, not something you find everywhere in China. We requested several bottles of drinking water and they didn't charge us extra. Although I didn't need it, I believe the front desk could speak English. We didn't try the restaurants, but ordered some fresh squeezed orange juice. When you added the service charge it came to to about RMB 34 a cup, which is pretty darn expensive and the juice was pretty mediocre (as if the oranges used were not very good). Overall, however, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider going again.
