Pros: Oswaldo (hotel manager) will go out of his way to ensure your stay is great, the location is ideal, away from the side where the cruise shippers alight. Beach is also nice.
Cons: The hotel is pretty expensive for what you get. I had a room on the third floor, it was comfortable but minimal natural light. all rooms face inside the atrium where reception is and so it can be noisy especially as the sound from below echos. The staff at the restaurant can be sloppy (forgetting orders, adding items not ordered to bills). I found the restaurant pretty pricey for the quality it serves.
I’d probably stay elsewhere next time I’m in Mahahaul, there are better value options.
