Very disappointing experience with Hilton. We arrived at 9:00 AM and, despite rooms being available, we were told we could not check in until 1:00 PM unless we paid an additional 50% early check-in fee.
We had informed the hotel beforehand that we had a flight at 5:00 AM the next day and would check out at 3:00 AM, meaning we only needed the room for a few hours of rest. Still, there was no flexibility or willingness to show empathy, not even to let us in at 10:00 AM.
We accepted the policy and paid the extra fee, but it was very disappointing service—especially from Hilton. Situations like this are easy chances to show care for the guest, and instead they leave you with no desire to return.
