The Dorm Hotel is very close to campus and it's easy to walk to the Herbert art museum, nearby gorge and botanical garden.
I loved the theme, and thought there were a lot of thoughtful choices that made it a nice place to stay. The common area on the main/reception floor has snacks for purchase, free tea/coffee, microwave, and fridge. There is also a beer/wine tap and pour set up with local beers.
I believe I was in an accessible room, so it was fairly large and had it's own fridge and 2 entrances (one to hallway, one direct to outside). Next to the bed is a control panel for the lights, blackout shade, and the option to indicate whether or not housekeeping was needed (I loved this--such a simple but convenient thing). The only downside to this room is that it was near the stairs and under the main floor, so you get the sound of people walking. It wasn't too bad, just something to note if you are a light sleeper.
If I'm in Ithaca again, I'd definitely stay here.
