First, all staff (guest relations, restaurant, maintenance, housekeeping & management) were very friendly, kind, helpful & neighborly.
Second, location is superb! I've traveled on 3 different continents plus several Pacific islands & aside from a hotel on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, The L is in a terrific location - it's only 25 meters from the front door to the sea!
Third, humbly my Thai language skills are very limited; L's entire staff is well versed in English (among other languages) which tells me the human resource manager listed language skills among "must have skills" in their hiring checklist. Communications between all staff & me were near flawless.
Fourth, please try Wannee's Place (onsite restaurant) for b'fast, lunch and/or dinner. Selections were ample, which helps when Quality is first & foremost in the Chef's mind; wines offered were varied; my girlfriend & I consumed one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Thailand with our dinner - we selected well! B'fast was simple (perhaps 16 hot food items) with two coolers containing veggies & fruits. I especially liked the coffee machine - double espresso at b'fast using one button! Lunch was very nice & satisfying for us.
Fifth, swimming pools were bright & clear with a proper chlorine concentration in the water.
Sixth, housekeeping & maintenance were efficient; I didn't notice anything out of order.
Overall, I recommend staying at The L Resort in Krabi - you will be happy here!
