I was looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, our room had several issues—the AC unit was obnoxiously squeaking, making it difficult to relax, and the floors felt unstable, as if they might cave in at certain spots.
I called the front desk, and the night staff provided excellent service by quickly offering another room. However, the new room had the same flooring issues, and the lighting was inadequate, making the space feel dim and unwelcoming.
The bathroom was disappointing—the shower seemed questionable, and the caulking around the tub and sink fixtures looked like a rushed DIY job rather than a professional finish. There was also a faint, unpleasant smell in the room. The luggage carts are in ROUGH shape. I was worried it would fall to pieces with each turn we took…
Breakfast was underwhelming compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations I’ve stayed at. The selection wasn’t exciting, and overall, it didn’t leave a good impression.
The only truly positive aspect was the night staff, who were friendly and accommodating. I appreciated their efforts to make my family comfortable, but the condition of the hotel was a major letdown.
I know Holiday Inn Express is capable of much better, which made this experience surprising and disappointing. The reviews did not reflect reality, and I personally will not be returning to this location. I do hope whomever is in charge will fix up the place for future guests.
