I have traveled the world and I have never stayed in a hotel where when the outside temperature was 40° and the hotel had turned the heat off for the season. This was early April in southeastern Pennsylvania, a time when these temperatures are typical. When I asked the manager about fixing my thermostat, he said “but it’s almost 50!” As if this was some kind of answer. They did not offer to provide me with a space heater, or any other suggestion, simply mentioned that there should be an extra blanket in the bottom of the chest of drawers. I find this to be a poorly equipped hotel room, a bit rundown, and the responses from the management were entirely inadequate. I will not stay here ever again, and I would be careful if you stay there in either spring or fall when temperatures are liable to fall below 70 degrees. Or check before you go that they have the heat or the AC on as appropriate. I expected much better considering the lovely local area.
