At first glance, the Dolphin Key resort seemed Iike an old-time motel that had been updated a bit. Two floors of rooms on the perimeter, surrounding a nice pool area, with a tiki bar on the long side of the pool. There was a slight odd, but not bad, odor in the room, and I wondered what we were getting into. But, once we unpacked and settled in, we found the shower was great, the bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was there...lots of nice touches, plenty of towels, extra toilet paper, 2 wastebasket, maps and reading material, blackout curtains, cube storage shelves, you name it. Our only complaint was the mini-fridge was kind of loud, but once we unplugged it, it was great! We enjoyed the delicious food and drinks at the tiki bar the next day. The lady checking us in was friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay there again!
