2 stars because the room was inexpensive, close to busch gardens, and at least didnt have bugs. This hotel fell short in many other ways though. Either bad reviews arent being posted or the location has changed hands at some point.
We paid a little over 100 dollars for the night, deposit seems to vary person to person and can be made with cash or card. Hotels.com said it was $80, a paper in the lobby said $150, my deposit was $50, and i did receive it back after a business day.
We stayed in room 252. It looked like the door had been forced in and repaired with one of those hardware store fix-a-jam kits. There were numerous large dents from where the door was beaten in on both sides. The swing lock on the inside was broken and missing one half. All of the locks look like theyve been modified or possibly rekeyed. Feels sketchy. The room itself was outdated and underkept. The vinyl floors were peeling and missing chinks in some spots. Some of the lights didnt work and the tv remote was missing a battery. The comforter had burn holes in it and the bed frame is made of metal, one of the beds in our room made a very loud pop noise everytime you moved on it. The floor around the sink and in the bathroom was dirty, and there were burn marks on the toilet seat. I cant comment on the shower because we opted not to use it. It looked old but clean.
If you find that you need an emergency room it works. I would not vacation here though. No breakfast or ice machine. Staff was fine.
