The deluxe room was very spacious, make up roommwaa very excellent, linen and towels are very clean. The place is quiet we had a really good rest. Buffet breakfast and dinner were also excellent, great variety if dish options. Will definitely be back.

The facility was beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The views were spectacular. The breakfast buffet was delicious and there were so many options. There was even a string trio playing during breakfast. The only problem we had was that we couldn’t stay longer. Will definitely be somewhere we come back to over and over

Staff here are very pleasant and attentive. at check in, i was offered a better room, although i had to pay additional fee. I had paid for a lake view, but from this upgraded lake wing position, the view of the lake and mountain were excellent. not sure what i would have got !! Food in the restaurant was very good, and the buffet breakfast offered very many choices to suit probably all tastes. Rooms were clean, and room service was good too. Cannot really mark down this hotel, although i did not get the free drinks suggested by hotels.com we should get

Still a good choice

We were upgraded to a ridge room which was very nice. The view of the lake never gets old. The room was comfortable and the hot shower worked very well! (Some hotels in Tagaytay have lukewarm water only.) Breakfast buffet was good and well stocked despite it being very busy. On Sunday morning they had singers going around. But the way to the ridge rooms is kind of eerie. Could use some updating. On check out we were being charged for room service items we hadn’t ordered but they eventually got the correct room charged and we weren’t asked to pay. Over-all, still a nice hotel to stay at in Tagaytay.

The staff was very pleasant but the original room that they put me in is so dark and when you opened the window it’s practically facing the wall. I was offered a different room for an extra charge which ia my better but they need to invest on better mattress. I slept on the couch the whole 7 days. I was offered extra blanket to cushion the hard bed but it sis not help.

The rooms that were assigned to us were filthy and smelled terrible (like poop). When we checked in, we asked why the room assigned to us did not have a good view. The receptionist said that if we wanted the better rooms, we have to book directly with the hotel, Taal Vista Hotel and not thru Expedia. We are seniors and we had to walk to another building and several flights of stairs . Room 419 was obviously not cleaned because there is a crayon on the floor. The towels are gray and maybe were white several years ago. As compensation, they gave us 2 boxes of pastries ( ube pan de sal and pandan pan de sal) we later found that these are expiring in 2 days. We had to wait for the bell boy who met us half way to the rooms . We hare carry our luggages because there was no bell boy. Expedia, please take care of this since the hotel treats Expedia customers differently.

PROS: -awesome view of Taal lake -breakfast offers good variety of food -Bayanihan singers serenade during breakfast -Lounge singer entertains during dinner -restaurant staff are friendly CONS: -inroom aircon dripping -towels old, discolored, and scratchy -room chairs are rickety -safe was not functional -towel rack fell when trying to hang a towel -blackout drape fell when trying to pull-up -room terrace with overgrown foliage -room door alarm broken, kept alarming; we ended up using adjacent room door for access -hallway leading to the Ridge Rooms were long, windowless, and cavelike

The service and breakfast buffet was good and the staff were very friendly, however the room we got wasn't well kept. The lamp shades had rust and the cabinet door in the bathroom fell off when we tried to open it and the mini fridge wasn't working either. We stayed at this hotel last December and got a better well kept room in a different wing of the hotel.

I have stayed at other hotels before with about the same rating and even cheaper in price but i was disappointed with the room. It didnt feel luxurious at all for for the price I paid it was not worth it. I guess I thought it would be better the way it was presented before on TV. Anyway there should be more towels already available and have brighter lights in the bathroom. The bed cover should feel more luxurious also and not like being at home type. For the breakfast buffet can they have more variety especially if its for thr Filipino food like danggit and tuyo or something. May sound awful to whoever is reading this review but we have stayed at other places and they do not shy away from serving these food. And for the fruits there should be more of a variety also because just passing through the market place there is so many to choose from.
