Checked in 6:30pm, told no king bed as I booked two days before, would two queens be ok. I replied I don’t any choose do I? I’m told “No”. Take the room 215, TV remote no batteries, no satellite remote—back to office to request help—response yeah no batteries just press the button on the side of the TV and the satellite remote is along the side. I go back to the room thinking ok shadows I could have missed a white remote. Check again-absolutely no remote. At this time I’m told by my travel companion that there is no soap, we need towels and the toilet wasn’t flushed. I return to the office again—amazed the office, she said let me see if the other dual queen is better. I follow to the back side of the building through a hallway that the carpet has not been cleaned in several weeks, to the other room#210. Upon opening that room she sees no satellite remote, I see the beds have not been remade or someone had just laid down one the one set of pillows. Obviously this room was not ready for any guest either. She returned to the office and brings me the missing items. I had to leave the TV on all night or get out of bed to turn it off like in the 70’s. Shower tile is new, hasn’t been used—the layer of dust proved it. Tub spout misfit to wall, just cosmetic. The toilet is missing base bolts and rocks as you sit and even by just the force of the power flush ( nice upgrade). No toilet paper rest or holder—reach behind yourself. holes in the room’s walls, and only decaf coffee.
