Honestly, I loved that it was quiet, with no children and few guests. Exactly what I needed when I was in town for a wedding: a place of peace in between the chaos of such an even.

What a hidden gem! The artful attention to detail and the feeling of staying with a friend rather than in a hotel made my stay so enjoyable. It’s a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trek.

Nice place, very different and somewhat remote; does not have all the amenities of a more mainstream motel. But for a basic bedroom in a quiet locale, it was fine. Proprietors particularly pleasant and interesting.

We booked a last minute weekend getaway and had a fantastic time in this area. The Buck School Inn was perfect. It was a relaxing and convenient property that we hope to visit again!

The inn was charming but there was no breakfast. Just had yogurt and granola. Coffee/tea keurig was good. Just would’ve appreciated bagel, muffin etc. Van Gogh room had bathroom in hallway, not in bedroom. It was convenient to our family that was plus to us.

The Buck school Inn is a beautiful piece of history. Mark has done an amazing job restoring the building. The accommodations were great with a special touch from the owner. Close to town and easy to get to.

Cozy, unique getaway
What a special place! The building is the product of an incredible restoration project in a great setting. Our room was quiet, cozy, clean, and comfortable. The shared living room area with books, games, and a grand piano was sunny and welcoming. We enjoyed the coffee house and restaurants in Downingtown and visits to Longwood Gardens, Marsh Creek State Park, and the Brandywine Museum.

Location was great, I’ll be honest in saying I’ve never stayed at an in Like this but our experience here was great. Room alone was incredible, the open living space was great too, would love to come back when the kitchen is open again. Never noticed our other neighbors, everyone was very respectful of the space. Our only issue was that it can get kind of bright at night with the living room lights on and flood lights outside the windows but the flood lights turned off exactly when we needed them to.

Cute little B&B in a green area of Downingtown. We stayed in the School room which was nice for a weekend stay. Plenty of short hikes within 10 minutes, and decent restaurants (if you like pizza, most of them are pizza places).

The facility was very clean, and private. The kitchen was closed due to covid, but breakfast was placed in our room, and it was fine. Very nice people. Easy to get to, close to things in the area.

The building was lovely as was the gathering room once you stepped inside. Strong mildew smell from that openstairway to the lower level/basement. Our room did not include a private bathroom as promised. It was quite cold inside the Inn and we froze in our bedroom last night.

An unusual and beautiful inn
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at the inn. The inn is situated in a private setting and has been beautifully restored. The room was comfortable as was the king bed. We even brought our friends back to the inn for lunch instead of going to a restaurant. Our host Mark was friendly and helpful. We would stay again.
