The hotel’s biggest selling point is its location — nestled in the heart of Gamla Stan, it’s within easy walking distance to many of Stockholm’s main attractions. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The building is very old, and while charming from the outside, it means cramped, uncomfortable rooms inside. Ours was so small it felt more like a cabin than a hotel room. The layout of the hotel is confusing, more like a labyrinth than a place to relax and it’s easy to get turned around just trying to find your room.
Breakfast was crowded and chaotic, with barely enough space to sit, let alone enjoy a quiet morning meal. And to top things off, the front desk staff seemed more interested in reading horoscopes than assisting guests during checkout.
We did our research and had high hopes, but sadly, we wouldn’t stay here again.
