"We were there for the USC - Oregon game. We (USC) lost but our stay at Valley River Inn was a big win! Room was large and clean with many amenities such as double sinks, coffee, tea, large TV, balcony and convenient and free parking. Hotel is across from a mall and many restaurants. We were walking distance to Autzen Stadium. Willamette River runs right outside the restaurant which had a great menu, service - and the bar was fantastic! Great martinis, Manhattans after the game! "Fantastic hotel. Art everywhere — from the bustling lobby to the hallways to the rooms. What a vibe! The place to stay for all the big track meets at Hayward Field. Kathryn the manager gave us great advice on what to do in and near town, and all the staff were outstanding. Love the fireplace and happy hour drinks and snacks in the lobby. Within a block are many shops and restaurants and the wonderful Magpie coffee shop."
