This is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever stayed. The room was very large with a beautiful patio overlooking Lake Como. The breakfast was large and amazing serving foods from their own private gardens. Mary and her staff are outstanding and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Don’t miss a chance to stay here! What can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing, from the top-notch hotel service at the front desk to the property cleanliness; it outshined every hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. The town of Menaggio is very walkable and can be seen in half a day, so if you want to fill up your itinerary, you can take a ferry to Bellagio, or Varenna. The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable. However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.

Hotel staff service is excellent, served chilled juice at check in and always were helpful. Recommend having them set up a rental boat for you! The pool is heated and comfortable. Close to town. Only complaint was the bed is to firm. But I'd still come back happily!!

Highly recommend this place. It’s ideal location. Close to everything especially the ferry dock where you can buy the ferry tickets and lots of restaurants and shopping places within 2-3 minutes. The main train station Saint Giovani is within reasonable walking distance. The place is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The management staff is also very responsive. This hotel is not in a town that has a lot of nightlife but if you're looking for some peace and quiet and a home base to visit other towns, this place is perfect. The owners, Antonia and Samuel were very helpful in finding our way to the other towns on the lake. There is a ferry that stops directly across from the hotel. Lake Como is beautiful and has much to offer. Albergo Centrale is a great location. We parked for free and used the boat 5 minutes away to visit other lakeside towns. Everyone staffing the front desk was so helpful, it made our stay enjoyable.

This hotel was one of two unexpected gems. I cannot stress this enough, people. GO here. And get a room with a lake view. Pay extra for it if you have to, it's SO worth it.
