"It’s a lovely hotel. Rooms are big and great big beds. Although the super king does seem to be 2 beds shoved together. Spa is lovely. Staff were excellent. The menu in Zeffyre and room service could do with some simple options. Sometimes you don’t want soy and ginger marinated chicken or spring rolls."

"The staff at the Savoy were very welcoming and helpful. We were stranded by storm Austen and they were able to provide us with accommodation for a further two night. The rooms were cleaned daily and bottled water and biscuits replenished each day. A buffet breakfast of either a full English or continental was available and constantly topped up. Several other options were available on request. The swimming pool is outdoors and available until the end of September. There is no gym. The Savoy is on a bus route and a walkable distance to the town centre. The Savoy has a restaurant with a good well priced menu."

"I went back here for an organised meal. Single room, overnight, with breakfast was small, but I had a good night sleep as it was only booked to avoid an extortionate taxi fare home. The set meal was great, the staff really plesant and attentive. The only downside was two of my courses came late. When it did come I was very happy ."
