The hotel is located in the old town next to all the attractions. The location is great, the hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast is amazing and the rooftop bar is spectacular. Meritel Hanoi is a beautiful hotel, with top notch service. However, the air conditioning kept going out in our room though the staff was quick to get it up and running again every time it went out. We also experienced ants in our sink, but again the staff was very prompt in getting it fixed. The Meritel advertises that it has soundproofed rooms, but this is not the case. You will be able to hear the room next to you as well as the city outside (thought it is very quiet at night so as long as...
I stayed here for three nights, and everything was excellent from start to finish. The location is perfect—within walking distance of all the must-see attractions. Breakfast was included with the room, and it was always fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
