Very comfortable hotel across the street from the Expo Guadalajara, where I attended a 3-day conference. Good breakfast and service, definitely recommended for business travelers. Unless you have a reason (like a conference) to want to be in this neighborhood, it's not very interesting -- lots of hotels, but not much in the way of local flavor, restaurants, etc.
This is the best hotel in Guadalajara. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service is outstanding. Love everything about it. I usually stay at this hotel 3 to 4 times a year.
The hotel is definitely a hidden gem! The rooms are a great size and by far the nicest I've stayed at in Guadalajara. We were upgraded to King suite and it did not disappoint. The Hotel was literally a 1 minute walk to Downtown and the area was most definitely safe. The staff was the best part!! From the check-in staff, security, servers and to our amazing bartender Abraham!!! We will definitely be back.

Great location in Colonia Americana just one block from Avenida Chapultepec and its many restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Very efficient front deck staff and friendly bellmen and housekeeping staff. Good restaurant with breakfast buffet.
We have stayed at the Portobello several times. The room we stayed in this time seemed newly redone, I loved the room, mirrors, bathroom and bed was good too. It can get loud due to the traffic, but that’s Guadalajara. Their breakfast is pretty good with several options. It is walking distance to downtown. All in all we totally recommend the Portobello.

Everyone was super attentive shout out to all the staff that met me at karaoke at the dreams lobby bar, “Andres”, the ladies in the coffee shop the servers in Chardonnay, and the manager from 360 !. What I liked most about my stay was the safety.! No one is getting in n out of the elevators without a room card. N you can only use your card for your floor you can’t access two room floors at once. That’s amazing safety precautions . Someone...
