There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel had a fab beach bar.
The hotel itself was clean and the staff very helpful. The pool area was perfect. Lots of sun loungers. Towels available for use if required. The room itself was large and ours had a small kitchenette which was helpful.
We loved this hotel and the resort of cascais even more. I would choose this hotel again...

Our experience at this Vila was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. We were sat at the front desk and given orange juice while we waited to be checked in. The costumer service is amazing and everyone treated us like royalty. After checking in we were given a tour of the hotel which was beautiful and breathtaking (the photos online do not do this hotel justice). It is a small boutique hotel with everything fun, elegant and interesting! Very quiet in off season, my room was floor to ceiling glass that opened to a wonderful deck the street activities below but not loud. I wish I could stay here longer, much longer!!

We stayed 9 nights in this extraordinary hotel in the heart of Lisbon.
First, this 35 room hotel has been entirely restored to its original Art Deco form, including cork floors in the room, beautiful marquetry floors in the lobby, elegant furniture and art work in the lobby and bar. Also the sleek, elegant Art Deco door handles (that are beautiful but not so easily grasped).
There is a spectacular breakfast every morning, including traditional Portuguese staples like sardines in olive oil...

I loved this hotel so much! I did not want to leave. I actually felt very down the day we checked out. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels but never had such impeccable care. It was above and beyond. We stayed for 2 days after our cruise. We arrive early. Front desk was welcoming and offered us an available room. We declined and said we’d wait for our reserved room on the upper floor. We toured Lisbon and returned to Lumen in the mid afternoon.
Here’s when the service was exceptional. Front desk was friendly; offered us breakfast at 10 euros and a 30% restaurant discount. The bell boy took our luggage up, explained the various room switches, offered to get us extra coffee/tea/water.

Staying in a Tagus Marina house boat was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The house boat was nice clean with comfortable beds the only critique would be that the living room could have had more comfortable seating options after a long day of exploring Lisbon. The location is great with a variety of restaurants, bars and the Lisbon Aquarium close by. Amazing views from our room. It's always disappointing however to be given twin beds instead of a double and the mattress protectors made the bed very sweaty.
Breakfast was very busy so maybe that's why we didn't have the best experience.
That said we would return without hesitation. We loved the area and had a wonderful time
