Explore Mark Twain's boyhood home and museum, immersing yourself in the world that inspired his most famous works. Cruise the mighty Mississippi River on a riverboat, imagining life as a steamboat pilot in Twain's era.
We did the riverboat dinner cruise, walked to the top of the Lighthouse and enjoyed drinks & dinner at Finn's. An awesome weekend getaway. We had hoped to attend the outdoor Tom Petty Tribute concert but weather moved it indoors so we skipped it.

The Mark Twain museum was awesome and I had the best burger (MO Burger) I ever had at the Mark Twain Diner. If you are there on your birthday go there to get a free desert.

A lot of construction going on but I definitely felt safe walking the downtown area alone in the early morning. Drove around sight-seeing and visited Lover's Leap before continuing on our trip.

Go to Mark Twin Dinette! Their bottomless root beer in a frosty mug was a great deal! We also went to Yummy's Donuts and had fresh donuts and reasonably priced coffee - lived up to their name!

"This was for a one night road trip, and the hotel was amazing. Checkin was fast and efficient, the clerk who checked us in was amazing. The room was just as described, and it was clean, spacious, with two queen beds. Breakfast was delicious, and healthy. Check out was quick."
"Traveled with 3 children ages 5-12. Have not seen a pool set up like this before, it was great!! Our room had 3 beds and very spacious. It was undergoing construction but that didnt bother us. It was a motel upgrading to a hotel so had both interior and exterior doors. Normally we would not have choosen this but it actually made it very convenient and we felt safe. Very friendly host and good breakfast. Go for the pool; no hot tub at this time."
"We really enjoyed the host making our “check in” truly unique by sharing a lot of the history and character of your landmark home.
We decided to skip the breakfast part of the Bed & Breakfast and enjoyed breakfast with “the locals” at “the Diner” recommended by our host.
We really appreciated our host’s recommendations for a variety of quality “local” amenities.
My wife raved about our “feather bed”again and again on our trip back home:-)"
