Old Town Split
Step into ancient Rome while standing firmly in the present inside Split's Old Town. The UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace forms the heart of this living museum with marble streets winding past Roman columns and medieval additions. Peek into the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, explore underground cellars, or simply watch local life unfold in buzzing squares and courtyards. Traditional konobas serve fresh seafood and Dalmatian wine in centuries-old stone cellars throughout the district. Boutique hotels and apartments within palace walls offer unique stays in converted Roman structures. This compact, pedestrian-only zone invites exploration, while the adjacent Riva waterfront promenade connects you to island ferries and city buses.

Bacvice
Discover Split's UNESCO-listed historic center, featuring Diocletian's Palace, and explore various museums, such as the Archaeological and Maritime Museums. Enjoy easy access to transport hubs like the Port of Split and Split Airport.

Varoš
Step back in time through the cobbled lanes of Varoš, where 13th-century stone houses with cheerful green shutters whisper tales of old Split. Ancient steps wind toward the fragrant pine forests of Marjan Hill, offering breathtaking Adriatic views through medieval archways. The Church of St. Nicholas stands sentinel over intimate courtyards where locals go about their daily lives. Family-run konobas serve up fresh seafood and traditional Dalmatian dishes in this walker's paradise. Accommodation options include charming stone apartments in historic homes, where you'll experience genuine Croatian hospitality. With limited vehicle access, comfortable shoes are essential for exploring this authentic neighborhood where modern life flows gently around centuries-old foundations.

Meje
Meje's coast treats you to postcard-perfect views of the Adriatic and nearby islands. Stroll along seaside promenades past traditional stone villas, or soak up the sun at Kaštelet Beach and Kašuni's pebble coves. Pine-scented cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop for swimming in crystal-clear waters. Marjan Forest Park offers hiking trails for when you need a break from beach life. Upscale seafood restaurants serve fresh Adriatic catches on terraces with spectacular sunset views. While hotels and vacation rentals tend toward the luxurious side, they deliver on Mediterranean coastal elegance. The area is best explored on foot or bicycle, with limited bus connections to Split's center just 20-30 minutes away.

Firule
Split's Firule neighborhood offers attractions including Trstenik Beach.

Learn more about Split
Ancient Roman ruins form the living heart of this coastal gem, where locals sip coffee in cafes built into 1,700-year-old walls of Diocletian's Palace. The UNESCO-protected old town buzzes with life as shopkeepers and residents occupy spaces where emperors once walked. Bacvice Beach offers crystal-clear swimming just minutes from historic marble streets. Game of Thrones fans recognize filming locations throughout the city, while the Croatian National Theater provides cultural evenings after days spent exploring. Take a ferry from the bustling port to nearby islands for day trips, or climb the bell tower of Saint Domnius Cathedral for panoramic Adriatic views. The seafront Riva promenade transforms at sunset into the city's communal living room.

Sunday Residence and SPA Split
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything about my stay at Sunday Residence was wonderful and exceeded my expectations! The location was excellent, the staff was professional and welcoming, and my room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated their courtesy in accommodating an early check-in after my long journey. It was such a thoughtful gesture. The breakfast was also delicious and a wonderful way to start the day. My only suggestions would be: 1. To offer a paid laundry service, even if outsourced. I have been traveling a while and I was running out of clean clothes. 2. provide guests with recommendations for authentic local restaurants. I was really looking forward to experiencing Croatian cuisine, but most of what I found around the Riva and Old Town was geared toward tourists. Local restaurant recommendations would be a wonderful addition. Overall, an excellent stay and I would happily return and highly recommend Sunday Residence!"

Heritage Palace Varos - MAG Quaint & Elegant Boutique Hotels
"Hotel was nice enough, advertising photos did make it look a bit like there was a balcony on the room. It was clean and we were able to check in even after arriving later than check in times. Worth noting there isn’t accessibility so no lift and stairs to rooms"
Cornaro Hotel
"Great location. Great breakfast. Great value for your money."
Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split
"We were there only two nights but did so to hang out on the beach. It was a longer walk to and from the beach than we expected but it was worth it. We rented a cabana right next to the water all day. Service was good at the beach and in room service. We did not visit the other F&B outlets. Thanks!"
Marvie Hotel & Health
"Great buffet breakfast. A little bit of confusion with their arranged pickup transportation, so if you use it, I’d suggest ensuring that you keep them posted on any flight delays because they don’t track your flight. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay."
AC Hotel by Marriott Split
"We had a great stay at the AC Marriott Split. The hotel is modern, clean, and located in the impressive Dalmatia Tower, which, according to the staff at check-in, is the tallest building in Croatia. The location is very convenient, about a 12-minute drive from Split Old Town or less than a 30-minute walk. It’s also a great base if you’re planning to explore areas outside of Split, as getting in and out of the city is relatively easy. The hotel also has indoor parking, which was a big plus for us. They also have an indoor pool but be aware that it is not accessible for kids under 16 years old. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay, especially if you have a car and plan on exploring beyond Split."
