"Within a 10-15 minute walk of rail station near shopping area. Breakfast included. No mini bar or coffee/tea in room.
Pleasant atmosphere at breakfast with a good choice of hot &cold breakfast items."
"Nice clean room with great views, one small negative is the two single beds marketed as a double kept sliding apart, so sleep was slightly compromised."
"A modern and nice hotel with a great breakfast! Clean and nice room, great bathroom, but you cannot open the windows. Friendly staff and quite close to the central station."

"Hotel Poseidon is a beautiful historic building just steps away from the beautiful Baptist church typical of the splendid architecture of central Gothenburg. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was outstanding, and the coffee in the lobby was especially nice."

"Well located hotel, lovely checkin experience with Simon. Hotel restaurant was great, gym and sauna a good size and modern equipment.
Bed was comfortable, bathroom a good size and the hotel was quiet despite being on top of the railway station. Definitely would recommend staying here."

This hotel is centrally located and lovely. Just about everything you could want is here with one exception. The hotels.com listing is a bit deceptive when it says they have laundry facilities. They offer laundry but you have to send it off and, as expected from thst kind of offering, it is EXPENSIVE. Other than tbat though, the staff were wonderful and always willing to help whenever possible. The room was clean and even had heated bathroom floors. Even the price, compared to other top hotels,...
Everything was fantastic. Convenient, clean, large. Perfect for a longer term stay or if you want to have a full kitchen. There was a laundry room on the 2nd floor. Building had an elevator and was less than a 5 minute walk to Central Station and Nordstan mall, Brunnsparken. Definitely would stay here again.
This property was beautiful as it was in an old building from the 1800s. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Will stay here again.
This is now one of my favorite city hotels in the world. The property is creative and artistic, the rooms are nice, the staff is very friendly, and the food is terrific. Excellent location as well. It is the only place I would stay in Gothenburg.
We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable, as was the bathroom, which had a retractable clothes line. Halfway through our trip, that was most welcome. Why don’t more hotels have those?
Wonderful breakfast. Very helpful and informed staff. Great location. I would most definitely recommend the Avalon hotel.
A unique boutique hotel close to the train station which made it easy as we’re traveling by train across Sweden. Wonderful breakfast options on the top floor with a view. A nice bonus was they had a flat iron for my hair. When you are a foreign traveler who tries to pack light, this was a nice surprise. My only small suggestion would be to add a small side table next to the sink. Digging through my toiletries bag on the floor was obnoxious. Not much counter space in our room.
Everything else...
My stay here was absolutely wonderful, I definitely hope to stay again! I traveled solo, appreciated the onsite parking, security of the building itself as well as my room. I stayed in the Annika room, small single. It was absolutely perfect for my needs, chair was comfy for study, bed comfy & cozy and I was probably lucky to have 2 windows for cross breeze. In July sunrise was 4:23am so blackout curtains would have been nice but I simply went with it and rose early which I loved. Breakfast was...
Very friendly staff, conveniently located, very comfortable bed, diverse breakfast.
The only minus is that it has been advertised as being part of Klaratornet, when it is in fact standing next to it.
This was such a cute, cozy, and clean crash pad while staying a few days in the city. Way better than a hotel and very affordable. Feels very private and autonomous
