Very helpful staff on arrival. Best hotel in Penang’s historical district. I did encounter a problem st checkin though. I believe that breakfast was included with the room. They claim it was not ands I looked at my Expedia receipt and it was not. I don’t fault the hotel but Expedia for this. It’s like bait and switch!

One of the most beautiful and unique places we have ever stayed. A villa in the middle of a rain forest surrounded by the most beautiful nature. Everyone there was so accommodating and nice.
Elevator should be labeled to indicate exec apartment. Haw Yeon who was mgr of breakfast buffet was exceptional incl recommending a market that was only on weeekend so that we would not miss it. Chefs and wait staff were very attentive.
We booked just a regular room and lucked out with the Old Kitchen room. It was amazing. We had a private hot tub to use and just an overall comfortable room. The bed was great and the AC was even better. The staff is amazing and goes out of their way for you. The mansion is a must stay just beware that the hawker next door is very noisy but stops around midnight. We ate there and it was fabulous. The breakfast at the old mansion is way better than any standard free breakfast I’ve gotten anywhere...
Everyone was very kind and concerned about our experience. The hotel is beautiful and located on the edge of the historic area. The rooms are comfortable. They serve an amazing breakfast and tea. When on the first day, restaurant staff learned I was a vegetarian, they went and made special food for me! Then, afterwards they checked in with me to make sure I had a good selection. Quite amazing. A wonderful choice in Penang.
We stayed one night at this remarkable hotel and was professionally chaperone by Pushpa & Andy's excellent service to perfection. Breakfast was awesome and staffs were ever eager to meet your food craving desires. Our only regret is not staying for more than one night and already planning for a second longer visit. Rasa Motel is great value and the staff provides wonderful service! The property is not directly on the beach, it is across the street. There is beach access within walking distance with many beach activities available including boating and jet skiing. The beds in the rooms are VERY comfortable!!! The hotel lobby provides free coffee. There is a very nice outdoor seating area with a library and tables for remote working, smoking areas, etc. The staff also offers luggage holding if you need that...
Charming small hotel. Staff, especially Redho & Devi, were so accommodating. Felt a little like ‘home’. The antique and art collection are beautiful. Definitely will stay again if I ever get back to Penang.
I stayed six nights in early February. Because the location was great, I walked to restaurants and shops in Georgetown. My room was big and had a sea view. The cleaning crews cleaned my room twice a day. The front desk staff was friendly, polite, and helpful.
