I booked this hotel based on ratings on Expedia and Tripadvisor. When I arrived, I was greeted with drinks and a tour of the hotel, as well as a detail introduction of attractions and activities in Prague. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a hill that looks down on the picturesque view of old town Prague. From the hotel, most attractions are within 20-30 min walking distance. Nice clean hotel and the bathrooms are pretty cool, cut into the side of the hill. Three sides of the bathroom are slate.
The 1 bedroom apartment is very spacious. It has a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom with jacuzzi and shower on one side. The other side has a small kitchen/living room and another full bathroom. The location is great. It is right by the old town. Everything is in walking distance. Stayed at room 23 on 4th floor, with my family. They had a roll in bed and the sofa bed ready by the time we arrived. Large, clean room with a new, large bathroom. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good and Wi-Fi was fast. I parked the car in the national theather which was 10 minutes away. I would stay here again.
This was a nice hotel with decent size rooms. Staff were nice and friendly. They daily breakfast buffet was also nice. The only thing I didn NOT like about this hotel was the fact that there is a casino attached to the main entrance of the hotel. The smell of cigarettes is pretty obvious and annoying. It even smells like cigarettes inside the hotel's elevator that is on the same side as the casino.

Great return stay in my home-from-home in Prague. Having missed my annual visit in 2020 due to Covid, I was really looking forward to revisiting old haunts and favourite spots and Hotel Josef never disappoints! Wonderful staff who are always ready to help in any way and their thoughtful welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine was a particularly nice touch. Diky moc!
Our stay was enjoyable. The location of the hotel was very good and only a few minutes walk from the touristic areas. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Thanks from the Wilkes’s. Oh, and the breakfast was delicious.
It is a new hip place to stay. It has a nice restaurant bar within the hotel. Only thing is I would like to have a bath tub and also hot water maker for coffee and tea in the room.
My room was absolutely incredible. A huge tub, a terrace overlooking the spires of Tyn Church, a romantic window that opens overlooks the street. Location is top notch, staff was amazing. I felt like a queen. I would say the only thing that might be tough for some is the noise from the clubs. For me, I use a fan and ear plugs to sleep and with the windows shut, it was just fine. I would recommend this again and again, and I will be back. I spent 8 nights there and wish I was back.
The Eurostars Thalia is a little gem of a hotel in Prague. The location is perfect…on a main thoroughfare so close to shopping, food markets and cafes/restaurants, yet still within walking distance of Charles Bridge and Old Town.
