Canmore offers so much in outdoor activities, with plenty of walking trails. We were able to leave our car at the hotel and walk the trails everywhere, and avoid the hassle of parking. The downtown area is a nice mix of unique retail and restaurants.

Canmore is a busy and growing town with delicious choices for dining. It is very convenient to Banff and other areas we were wanting to visit. We would definitely recommend others to stay here but warn about loud construction.

Canmore is a small town that has a lot to offer. Great hikes, good shopping, coffee shops, breweries, and some nice restaurants. We would stop there again if we visit the National Parks again in the future.

Love being surrounded by the Rockies. Canmore has tons of entertainment, shopping, and dining. Never a lack of things to do. I also love that it's not as crazy busy as Banff.

Canmore is only 22 km away from Banff. It is much more affordable comparing with Banff. Anyone visiting Banff National park should consider staying in Canmore.

Canmore was lovely. Quieter than Banff, yet still has a charming downtown. Convenient and quick drive to Banff. Highly recommend!

Canmore is a terrific holiday location, safe, walkable, walking paths around town, great restaurants and stunning scenery.
"Beautiful lodging in an area where there are mountains all around you. The room was clean and spacious enough for 3 adults in a standard Queen room. The hotel lobby reception staff was wonderful every time we spoke to them (daily). Reception staff offered us suggestions on where to go and what to watch out for. If you request it, they can provide you with bear spray (free) for the day / duration of your stay. Nice pool and hot tub area with a sectioned off bbq patio with tables and chairs. It was clean! The coffee in the room took some getting used to - and not sure we really did - but that was the worst part of it (which I don't consider a deal breaker in any case). They have a gym that I believe is open 24 hours. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants, drug stores, etc. Policeman's Boardwalk is close by, (walking) as is the main downtown area. It's a nice drive to Calgary, Kananaskis, Cochrane, Banff, and it only took us about 2 hours and a little bit to drive to Golden, BC. (that drive has gorgeous scenery). Again, it's right by the mountains - you can't go wrong! Happy we stayed here for our first trip to Alberta. Definitely the right choice. (and everyone seems to be happy in Alberta - they actually smile and say good morning / good night!) Just go! Canmore and Blackstone Mountain Lodge won't disappoint. "
"The coast has really helpful friendly staff. We liked the convenient location and great dining option at Table the in hotel restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay. "
"We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Canmore! It’s a quiet and cozy place right in the heart of town. The location is perfect — close to restaurants, a gas station, and many beautiful spots for photos and walks. The area is peaceful, with amazing mountain views all around. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway in the Rockies!"
"The view from our room was really beautiful. The room was neat and tidy, toiletries and towels are well enough for our stay. The only thing we didn't like is that they don't have a microwave and no extra garbage bag available."
